This policy explains what information Silkroad Servers (silkroad-servers.com, “the Site”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, and how it is handled. By using the Site you accept this policy.
Information you give us
When you register a listing we ask for a username, a password and an e-mail address, plus the details of the server you are listing (title, URL, description, banner). You can browse the Site without an account. We never ask for more personal data than the Site needs to work.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our server records technical request data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring page). We use it to keep the Site running, to measure aggregate traffic and to investigate abuse.
Voting and reviews: to keep the rankings fair we record the IP address of each vote and review together with a browser cookie. This is used only to enforce the anti-cheat rules (one rating per server per visitor, and a cooldown between rating different servers) and to detect automated or traded votes.
Screenshots: listed servers’ public homepages are periodically visited by our screenshot service to render the thumbnail shown on the rankings. This touches only the public page of the listed site.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie that keeps you logged in to your control panel, vote/rating markers used by the anti-cheat rules described above, and cookies set by Cloudflare, whose protection service sits in front of the Site to filter malicious traffic. Human-verification (Cloudflare Turnstile) may also set a cookie while it checks that a visitor is not a bot. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; parts of the Site (logging in, voting) will stop working without them.
Payments
Optional paid features (premium placement, banner advertising) are processed by an external cryptocurrency payment processor. Your payment happens on the processor’s side; we receive only a confirmation of the transaction (amount, currency, transaction id) so we can activate what you bought. We never see or store card numbers or wallet private keys.
E-mail
We send transactional e-mail only: registration confirmation, password recovery, notifications about your listing (for example approval, edits, suspension and reactivation notices) and receipts for purchases. We do not sell mailing lists and we do not send third-party marketing.

Anti-cheat records such as vote logs are kept only as long as they are useful for enforcing the rules.
