Terms of Use
By using Silkroad Servers (silkroad-servers.com, “the Site”, “we”) you agree to these terms. “You” means every visitor and every member. All servers listed here are submitted by their owners; visiting them is your own choice and at your own risk — we moderate the listings on this Site, not the servers themselves. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Site.
1. The service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site, and remove any data, at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you. The Site is provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, including no guarantee of availability, accuracy or the preservation of data.
2. Voting
Votes must be cast by real people, on this Site, by hand. The following are strictly forbidden and are treated as cheating:
Automated voting of any kind (scripts, bots, macros, paid voting services).
Buying, selling or trading votes between servers.
Funnelling votes from one server’s community to a different listing, even when both belong to the same owner.
Circumventing the technical vote limits (one rating per server per visitor, cooldown between servers).
If a listing is caught cheating we may reset its votes, suspend or remove the listing, and block the accounts involved.
3. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the server. Offensive language, spam, advertising and personal attacks are removed — an automated word filter and manual moderation both apply. We may edit, reject or delete any review, and we may remove ratings that were produced by the vote-cheating behaviour described above.
4. Listings and server content
You may list a server only if you own it or have the owner’s explicit permission, and each server may have exactly one listing — duplicates are removed. The title field must contain the server’s name only: web addresses do not belong in titles (of listings or of purchased banners). Listing content — title, description, banner and screenshots — must not contain pornographic, illegal, racist or hateful material.
By listing a server you agree that the Site may automatically visit its public pages to take screenshots and to check whether it is online.
5. Broken listings, suspension and reactivation
Listings whose websites are gone or unreachable may be suspended after an automated availability check, and listings can also be suspended after a manual review for breaking these terms. Suspended listings are hidden from the rankings and their owners are notified by e-mail. Owners can log in, fix the issue and request reactivation from their control panel; requests are reviewed by an administrator. We reserve the right to remove any listing entirely, at any time, with or without notice — including for reasons not listed on this page — and to edit individual listing details (title, banner, description) when they are inappropriate.
6. Accounts and registration
One account per e-mail address. Disposable or temporary e-mail providers are not accepted. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done with your account. Accounts used for abuse (vote cheating, spam, impersonation, ban evasion) may be terminated and blocked from re-registering.
7. Paid services
Optional paid features (premium placement, banner advertising) are described, priced and delivered exactly as shown at the time of purchase, and payments are handled by an external payment processor. Paid placement never exempts a listing from these terms — a premium or advertised listing that breaks the rules is treated like any other. If something you paid for was not delivered as described, contact us and we will sort it out.
8. Third parties
Advertisements and links on the Site may lead to goods, services and websites operated by third parties. Your dealings with them are between you and them; we are not responsible or liable for any of it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms at any time, with or without notice. The current version is always published on this page — please review it periodically. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
